But this game is 3D-ish, you can't just worry about left-right-front-back but also up and down, and any combination of the two. * the best cover is the one that reduces the number of angles at which enemies can come at you. * just because you're in cover doesn't mean you're safe, enemies will try to flank you so they can shoot you from whichever angle you are exposed.the side, behind, above, or some combination * only one enemy in the entire game can actually shoot through cover, anything else that looks like its shooting you through cover just means you're lagged, or you're not as in cover as you like to think you are, they will try to cut the corner and nip you from the angle if they can * certain skill trees improve this dramatically, and even add extra damage resistance when in cover * being in cover improves the time before shields start regenerating, and the speed at which they regenerate ![]() So first off, Cover-Based shooter.this really isn't obvious on Bronze or Silver missions because if you have any talent for using obstacles to keep from getting shot or a decent character who can handle some hits and deal out damage you aren't going to have that much trouble.
